The Coca Retreat: Machu Picchu

A Transformative Week of Botanical Wisdom and Storytelling

Join the Beneficial Plant Research Association (BPRA) for a rare, immersive retreat in Peru’s Sacred Valley, designed for a small circle of visionary supporters. This unforgettable experience supports the production of a landmark documentary on the cultural and ecological legacy of the coca plant, directed by Academy Award–nominated filmmaker Lucy Walker.

Led by two towering figures in ethnobotany and integrative medicine—Dr. Wade Davis and Dr. Andrew Weil—this retreat offers unparalleled insight into plant intelligence, Andean healing traditions, coca leaf awareness, protecting biodiversity and Indigenous knowledge.
